新世代網路族群,他們擁有自主互動、共同參與、開放分享及展現自我四大特質,而這群新世代網路族群的使用行為也將影響到未來新世代網路娛樂發展。藉由這群新世代網路族群,未來網路娛樂將有以下發展趨勢。


使用者自主性的覺醒
由於新世代網路環境給予新世代網路族群更多的參與空間,也提供許多機制讓使用者能夠更依照自己的想法來蒐集、使用、整理網路資訊。因此,使用者對於「網路使用」更具有自發性、自主性。

生產性消費者的誕生與茁壯

由於開放參與式的網路環境,讓網友能夠以文字、圖片、聲音、影片等形式參與及貢獻網路內容,他們在瀏覽別人作品的同時也能讓他人瀏覽自己的作品,兼具生產與消費兩個角色,所謂的「生產性消費者」由此誕生。

新世代網路族群也發現到網路平台的力量,不僅只是某些零碎想法的表達,還能將完整的思考、所有的自己展現出來,做到經營個人舞台的層次。

廠商與使用者的共有平台
也由於整體網路朝向開放分享環境,除了網路廠商提供平台,藉由共同參與讓使用者彼此交流,網路廠商也將建構與使用者互動的共有平台。

娛樂內容及形式的混搭與擴散

「混搭」是新世代網路環境的特色之一,將許多不同功能、不同形式的網路內容加在一起,成為獨特平台或服務。在未來,網路娛樂廠商將會結合不同的網路娛樂形式產生綜效。

固定及移動平台的整合與串連
由於新世代網路娛樂族群強調互動、參與、分享,部落格、交友社群等應用將成為多數網友基本網路使用,而這類應用也將與網路娛樂使用相互交織。
因此,若要討論未來網路娛樂市場,除了原先線上遊戲、線上音樂、線上影視三大主流外,還需加入部落格、交友社群、即時通訊等互動共享平台,才會更為完整。



未來市場商機

本身新產品服務


抓住生產性消費者,是網路娛樂相關廠商面對新世代網路時代來臨的首要動作。有了消費者才能夠帶來實質收入,商機也才能夠展現。所以,抓住他們的方法本身就可以構成各種商機,而抓住他們之後帶來消費者付費使用、廣告收入、借力使力豐富服務及節省成本的「應用」更是真正商機所在。

而目前網路娛樂服務多利用電腦做為使用平台,但其實家中能夠連網的設備越來越多,家用設備開始相互串連使用。使用者不再滿足於僅在電腦上使用網路娛樂服務,他們希望在其他家庭設備也能夠使用,獲得更好的娛樂效果,因此家庭娛樂算是一塊值得網路娛樂服務廠商注意的市場。

其他網站


這個面向主要是將其他網站作為網路娛樂廠商的潛在客戶,當網路娛樂相關廠商的本業經營成功後,可將主業服務產品化,把其運作經驗移植到其他網站。換言之,也就是其他網站將網站運作的某一部分委外給網路娛樂相關廠商,如:交友社群、線上影視,這些委外內容都是網路娛樂相關廠商可以切入的市場機會。

其他產業


至於第三面向,則是將網路娛樂廠商的領土由網路產業拓展到其他產業。目前,有許多企業開始將線上遊戲、線上影視、線上音樂、部落格、交友社群做進一步運用,當作對內或對外平台,並將這些平台與企業本身運作做緊密結合。
此外,也有很多企業透過線上論壇、使用者心得評論、影片分享網站、交友社群網站等方式,企圖將產品相關資訊送到網友面前,與使用者拉近距離、進行互動。

The new generation of netizens is characterized by free interactivity, common participation, open sharing and self presentation. Moreover, the usage behavior of this group of new-generation netizens will also influence the development of new-generation online entertainment in the future. Based on this group of newgeneration netizens, future development trends in online entertainment will be as follows.

Increasing User Autonomy


Because the new-generation internet environment has given netizens even more space to participate, it has also provided many mechanisms allowing users to collect, use and organize internet information as they wish. For this reason, users enjoy even more spontaneity and autonomy.

Birth and Vigorous Growth of Productive Consumers


Because the internet environment al lows open participation, internet users can use such means as text, graphics, audio and video clips to participate in and contribute to internet content. At the same time as they browse other people's works, they can also let other people browse their own works, simultaneously playingthe role of producer and consumer, leading to the birth of so-called "productive consumers".

Platforms Extending One's Ability to Present Oneself
The new generation of netizens has also discovered that the power of the internet platform allows not only the expression of an assortment of various ideas, but the presentation of the totality of oneself and the operation of a personal platform.

Platforms Shared by Companies and Users


Also, because the internet overall is moving in the direction of becoming an openly shared environment, in addtion to providing internet companies a platform, by means of common participation, users are also allowed to enter into exchanges, and internet companies can build a common platform to interact with users.

Mixing, Matching and Distributing Entertainment Content and Form


“Mix and match” is one of the characteristics of the newgeneration internet environment, combining internet content of many different functions and different forms into a unique platform or service. In the future, online entertainment companies will develop synergies by uniting different forms of online entertainment.

Integrating and Linking Fixed and Mobile Platforms


Because new-generation internet entertainment groups emphasize interactivity, participation, sharing, blogs, social groups and more, these applications will be used by many internet users in their basic internet use. For this reason, if we are to discuss the online entertainment market of the future, in addtion to the existing online games, online music and online videos that form the mainstream, we also need to add blogs, social groups, instant messaging and other interactive and commonly shared platforms.

Future Market Opportunities
After gaining an understanding of new-generation online entertainment social groups and development trends, we can analyze future business opportunities in online entertainment using the following three dimensions: new products and services of online entertainment companies, other websites and other industries.

New Products and Services of Online Entertainment Companies


Gaining a grasp of productive consumers is the key effort for online entertainment related companies as the  face the arrival of the new-generation internet era. Only consumers can provide actual revenue and enable the development of business opportunities. Therefore, by gaining a grasp of their methods, we can create all sorts of business opportunities, and we can obtain payment from consumers for usage as well as advertising revenue, offer rich services and cut costs. 

Currently online entertainment services mostly use computers as the main platform, but in fact, the amount of home equipment that can connect to and interact with the internet is increasing. Users are no longer satisfied with computers alone for use of online entertainment services. They hope to use other home equipment to enhance their entertainment experiences and for this reason, home entertainment can be considered a market segment that online entertainment service companies should pay attention to.

Other Websites
This dimension mainly treats other websites as potential customers of online entertainment companies. After online entertainment-related companies make their operations a success, they can transform their core business services into products, and transfer their experience to other websites. In other words, this simply means that other websites can outsource some portions of their website operations to online entertainmentrelated companies. For example, with social and friendship groups and online videos, the outsourcing of this content represents a market opportunity that online entertainment-related companies can take advantage of.

Other Industries


As regards the third dimension, this involves online entertainment companies expanding their scope from the internet industry to other industries. Currently, there are many companies that have started making further use of online games, online videos, online music, blogs, friendship and social groups, transforming them into internal or external platforms, and they have more closely linked these platforms with their corporate operations.

In addition, many corporations have used online forums, evaluations of user experience, video clip sharing websites, friendship and social group websites and similar methods as part of a strategy to send productrelated information directly to internet users and narrow the gap with users and interact with them.
